The Federal Supply Services (FSS) of the General Services Administration (GSA) obtains, stores, and distributes supplies and services for the federal government.

CSI's first initiative with GSA/FSS involved establishing a Web site for the organization complete with multi-media facilities. Subsequently, CSI integrated GSA/FSS's Internet presence with its primary business operation by developing the Simplified Ordering System. This client/server system provides FSS customers with the ability to view and order GSA schedule stock and non-stock items directly over the Internet. The on-line catalog and Simplified Order System provided a gateway between GSA's legacy systems and the World Wide Web. The system is now known as GSA Advantage.
